About Connext Post and Beam

Post and beam construction without metal plates and brackets.

Welcome to the same family business that's developed an innovative framing system to greatly simplify post and beam construction. We've created a revolutionary type of connector that can go in any direction:  vertically, horizontally and even diagonally!

Our aluminum T-REX Connectors are patented and structurally-approved so architects can add them confidently for either an old-school or a minimalist, modern look.  And contractors and experienced DIY-ers can now frame easily with post and beam, preserving the natural, clean beauty of wood.

The possibilities go beyond single beam to beam connection, as our 3-way connectors can tie huge beams together above in a long span or a truss can be designed with our minimal metal connectors.  The 4-way connectors we now offer solve the issue of multiple connections. Even post to base is now a breeze with our rust-resistant  connectors.  Our products are easy and uncomplicated, saving you time and money while providing the highest quality in construction and customer service.

1
Capacities for species not shown may be linearly interpolated based on specific gravity.
2
Capacities for the 6x8 and larger connector plates are identical to those shown. Use of the connectors with 8x
material also achieves the same capacity.
3
Depth of supporting member, d2 must be at least 2" deeper than the supported member, d1.

Notes:

The above capacities do not consider the resistance of the concrete foundation to breakout, side-
face blowout, or pryout. Determination of the resistance for these limit states is the responsibility of
a qualified design professional.

Post bases should not be used to resist permanent / long-term loading.

Post bases should be installed directly to the concrete. If the post base sits atop a 2x (1 " net
thickness) sill plate rather than directly on the concrete, use the V.2 shear capacity for each direction.

The capacities listed apply to 6x and 8x connections.
