Find Resources to Help Women & Teens
of Color Cope with Mental Illness
In America, nearly half of the
population suffers from mental
illness of some kind. And that
statistic is alarmingly high within
the women of color community.
It’s been a tough year for many people,
which is why we at Women of Color Therapy
have launched a series of initiatives to help
women and teens of color cope with mental
illness and overcome the roadblocks that
are preventing them from achieving
happiness and success.
If you or someone you love is suffering with
mental illness in the women of color
community, keep reading. First of all, we
offer therapy sessions for women of color
by women of color. Our main goal is to
provide a safe, judgment-free space for you
to get the help you need.
Once we tackle the issue of mental health
head-on, we can focus on overcoming
emotional and physical trauma and teach
you how to love yourself again. Once you
begin to love and respect yourself, you
can begin down the path of individual and
collective healing.
We provide a variety of services
including therapy, classes, and
coaching sessions. Our therapy
sessions are conducted by
experienced, licensed women of color
therapies and can take place in
person and/or online.
If you’re one of the many women or
teens of color suffering from anxiety,
burnout or co-dependency, we have
a variety of personal growth classes
and workshops to help you deal with
these issues head-on.
For those struggling to advance in their
professional lives, we have help for you
too. We have one-on-one coaching and
consulting sessions to help women and
teens of color overcome the obstacles
that are keeping them from fulfilling their
true potential.
We know that one of the main
problems in the women of color
community is finance. So, we have
launched a GoFundMe campaign to
raise money to enable us to offer
free and low-cost therapy sessions
to those in need.
In addition to our therapy sessions and
the fundraising campaign, we’ve also
launched a book club on Instagram that
is open to any and all women and teens
of color who want to educate themselves
and discuss important issues with their
fellow community.
The book club takes place on
Instagram and features books like
‘Vibrate Higher Daily’ by Lalam
Delia, ‘Eloquent Rage’, by Brittney
Cooper, ‘Human Acts’ by Han
Kang, and many more.
