WELCOME/CALL TO ORDER
a. This meeting was called to order at 12:05 PM by Anthony Sanchez

PRESENTATIONS
a. ELAPP Acquisition Update
i. Forest Turbiville summarized the current ELAPP financial status and properties
under active negotiation.
ii. Discussion ensued regarding the potential need for additional ELAPP funds in
the very near future.
b. State Road 56 Extension
i. No update at this time.
c. Lettuce Lake Park Nature Center Naming
i. Discussion ensued regarding the success of the naming ceremony for Joel
Jackson earlier this summer.
d. Tackle Football Game Security
i. Rick Valdez spoke about a recent incident at Skyway, team suspensions, and off-
duty deputies at games.
ii. Discussion ensued about how the Board can assist, PCA, and the culture of the
program.
e. November 3 Meeting
i. This meeting will be moved to November 10.
ii. The Director of MOSI will be attending this meeting.

BOARD ACTION
a. Approve minutes from the August 18, 2022 meeting
Motion: Jack Berlin made a motion approving the August 18, 2022 meeting minutes and the
motion was seconded by Joe Guidry. The motion was passed with no opposing members.

COMMUNICATIONS, ACTIVITIES, OR STAFF MEMBER COMMENTS
a. Mr. Valdez spoke about the ribbon cutting today at the New Tampa Performing Arts
Center. He also shared Gold Medal award updates.
