WELCOME/CALL TO ORDER
a. This meeting was called to order at 12:06 PM by Anthony Sanchez

PUBLIC COMMENTS

PRESENTATIONS
a. ELAPP Acquisition Update
i. Ross Dickerson shared information about active six negotiations.
ii. Discussion ensued regarding background information and closed golf courses.
b. State Road 56 Extension
i. No update at this time.
c. Lettuce Lake Park Nature Center Naming
i. Mr. Dickerson shared that the signage has been created.
ii. Billy Graham shared that a date will be set shortly.
d. Temple Park – City of Temple Terrace Police Chief Ken Albano
i. Temple Terrace Police Chief Ken Albano spoke about renaming Temple Park to
honor the Pepin family.
ii. Discussion ensued regarding naming policies and staff/community support.
Motion: Jack Berlin made a motion to recommend to the BOCC the renaming of Temple
Park to honor the Pepin family. The motion was seconded by Joe Guidry and was passed
with no opposing members.
e. June 30 Meeting
i. This meeting will be rescheduled to July 14.

BOARD ACTION
a. Approve minutes from the April 14, 2022 meeting
Motion: Joe Guidry made a motion approving the April 14, 2022 meeting minutes and the
motion was seconded by Nathan Gennara. The motion was passed with no opposing
members.
V.
BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS
a. Discussion ensued regarding the recent cell tower request.
VI.
COMMUNICATIONS, ACTIVITIES, OR STAFF MEMBER COMMENTS
a. Rick Valdez shared that we are NRPA Gold Medal finalist. Alison Hughes shared the
video that Communications created for the final voting.
b. Mr. Dickerson informed the group that the Hillsborough FL Nature Tours app is available
for download.
