Think Piece From Workplace Bias Consultant
Teaches From Meghan Markle Experience
If you watched on in shock as Meghan and
Harry spilled all to Oprah Winfrey you are
certainly not alone. And if the realities of the
racism and bias it revealed left you feeling
deflated and disheartened, diversity expert
Buki Mosaku has turned the interview into a
teachable moment.
Buki Mosaku, a diversity and inclusion business
consultant based in London, has released a
comprehensive discussion of the Meghan and
Harry Oprah Winfrey interview. His recent article
for LinkedIn examines the implications of the
interview for diversity conversations and
practices around the world.
The article release coincides with
the latest news on the now world-
famous interview, with US
network CBS stating that more
than 49.1 million people have now
watched the full broadcast.
While the interview has been the talking
piece of much news media in recent weeks,
less content has focused on how Meghan
and Harry’s situation both emblemises the
daily biases and struggles experienced by
people of colour, and critically, how these
biases can be navigated.
As such, Buki Mosaku wants to
impart his expert knowledge on
how to acknowledge and navigate
these kind of biases as they appear
in family and social situations, as
well as in the workplace.
In particular, in light of the systemic racism
which has been underscored by the Meghan and
Harry interview, Mosaku wants to offer the
knowledge he has gained through 20 years of
work experience training and advising over
50,000 individuals worldwide as a diversity and
inclusion business consultant.
His article, titled ‘Harry and Meghan: A
Teachable Moment’ provides both an
expert analysis of the interview and its
ramifications as well as three easy to
follow steps for anyone who is currently
experiencing or has experienced bias
and discrimination.
More of Buki Mosaku’s characteristically
thoughtful work on overcoming bias will also
soon be available to interested readers in his
forthcoming book ‘I don't understand? - A
Practical Guide to Navigating Bias in the
Workplace’ which is soon to be available via
both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Buki Mosaku is a leading
diversity and inclusion
consultant based in London.
He has worked widely as a
communications expert, trainer
and coach.
A spokesperson for Mosaku’s consultancy
firm said, “His methodology is designed to
equip traditional and non-traditional
subjects of unconscious bias with the
interpersonal skills to navigate bias in the
moment—clarifying, redirecting, and
negating negativity.”
