This Brampton, ON Clinical Research Course
Provides GCP & TCPS2 Certifications
Are you looking for a career in clinical research? This course can help you get started! The
Canadian College of Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals has launched an updated Clinical Research
Essentials workshop for a range of students and healthcare professionals in the Brampton Ontario
area.
The Clinical Research Essentials workshop is now 14
hours in duration and is conducted on weekends at
CCHAP's Toronto campus.
The course comprises 7 sessions, with each
lasting 2 hours.
The first session covers the use of
Microsoft Office in clinical and
academic settings.
The second session covers research
methods including Good Clinical
Practice and the Tri-Council Policy
Statement: Ethical Conduct for
Research Involving Humans.
Session 3 introduces you to research protocols, and sessions 4 and 5 cover
applications to the Research Ethics Board and Institutional Review Board as
well as completing informed consent forms.
The sixth session introduces students to the
Canadian Common CV and the National
Institute of Health Bio-sketch, the standardized
methods of listing academic history and
accomplishments in Canada and the US,
respectively.
The final session covers literature
review.
Upon successful completion, students will receive a course completion
certificate as well as certifications in GCP and TCPS2. High performing
students will also receive a letter of recommendation.
The recently enhanced Clinical
Research Essentials workshops are
taught by certified instructors who are
working and/or conducting research in
leading institutes.
The Canadian College of Healthcare and
Pharmaceutics is registered as a private
career college under the Private Career
Colleges Act, 2005, and offers a range of
vocational programs and skills workshops.
