ACCUSOFT TO EXPAND HEADQUARTERS IN TAMPA
Information technology company’s expansion will generate 125 new high wage jobs and $5.25
million in capital investment by 2019
Tampa, Fla. – July 14, 2015 – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that Accusoft, a global provider
of document, content and imaging solutions, will expand its headquarters in Tampa and create 125 new
jobs by 2019. The new jobs will fill a variety of roles in the organization, including software development
and engineering, and pay an average annual wage of $75,000.

Governor Scott said, “Companies like Accusoft know Florida’s pro-business climate is the best place to
grow and create jobs, and we are excited to announce 125 new jobs for Tampa families today. More
than 879,700 private-sector jobs have been created in our state since December 2010, and we will keep
working every day to create an environment that encourages business growth so Florida can become
the global destination for jobs.”

Headquartered at 4001 N. Riverside Drive in Tampa, Accusoft currently employs 131 people in Florida
and also has an office in the Northeast. The company is planning to expand its existing space by up to
25,000 square feet and invest $5,250,000 in the project.

Accusoft was founded in Tampa in 1991 as Pegasus Imaging Corporation. Over the next two decades,
Pegasus acquired several companies, spun off a medical imaging division, and made two key acquisitions
to further strengthen its imaging and software development businesses. In 2012, the company
rebranded itself as Accusoft.

Florida is ranked third in the nation for high tech establishments. More than 26,000 IT companies
employing 245,700 professionals are located in the state. The Florida High Tech Corridor, anchored by
the Tampa Bay region, has been named one of the top tech job hot spots in the United States, and the
Tampa metro area is home to approximately 20 percent of Florida’s IT positions. In the past five years,
local IT jobs have grown at nearly twice the rate of overall average job growth.

The project was made possible through strong partnerships between Enterprise Florida, the Florida
Department of Economic Opportunity, CareerSource Florida, the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County
and the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation.
As part of the project, CareerSource Florida has offered Accusoft performance-based grants for
employee training through the Quick Response Training program. Quick Response Training grants are
structured to be flexible and responsive to the training needs of new or expanding businesses.

In April, the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and the Tampa City Council approved
a combined local incentive package of $150,000, supporting a commitment of $600,000 from the State
of Florida through the Qualified Target Industry (QTI) program. The total QTI allocation of $750,000 will
provide the company with support for up to 125 of the new, high-wage positions. The incentives, to be
distributed over a period of eight years, are performance-based, meaning funds are only paid after the
jobs are created at the wages promised. The incentivized jobs will pay a minimum average wage of
$75,000.
