Team,
So here we are, another December at the end of another year. Sneaks up on us every
time! I've been through a lot of Decembers at Accusoft, through two different stints
with the company. If I 'm being 100% honest, most Decembers find me burned out and
looking forward to some time off to recharge for the next year. This December is
different though. I love the holidays but honestly, I can't wait to get through them this
year so we can hit January running. We haven't been as prepared for success in the
coming year in Decembers-past as we are December of 2024. The foundation we set
this year is what makes me feel this way.
I talked a lot about why I was excited about 2025 in our kickoff meeting as it pertains
to strategy. We spent a lot of time researching markets, honing our product-market-
fit and developing very detailed go-to-market strategies and product roadmaps for
the markets we want to compete in. We now enter 2025 with all teams already
executing on those strategies, driving leads and refining our messaging as we learn
from our efforts. We have happy customers who appreciate the improvements we’ve
made to their products over the last year and are excited about the new innovative
features we have added to their products. Product-strategy wise, we just need to
continue refining our strategy as we continue to execute and learn from the market.
What really makes me most optimistic is the foundation we've created as a team
heading into 2025. Across the whole organization it just feels like we appreciate each
other more and in turn we certainly work together better. It is clear that everyone is
working with our customers' interest in mind first and foremost. On top of that, we
seem genuinely happy to see each other face to face on those few times a year we
get to meet in person. The holiday party earlier this month seemed to fly by like we
were only there an hour. My wife Jamie and I drove home talking about all of the
people we regret we didn't get to spend enough time with that evening (this coming
from an introvert!). Accusoft just feels so much more like family to me than in
Decembers-past and that is what gives me the most hope for a great 2025.
So as I wrap up this note and we wrap up 2024, I just want to talk a little about our
"Big Picture Focus" theme for 2025. The big picture is that we still haven't reached
our growth goals and we are still struggling to find new business. It isn't going to be
easy in 2025. We have to continue to work hard to retain customers while driving
toward even more aggressive new business goals. This won’t be easy and at times it
is going to test us as a work family. We have to assume positive intent and we have
to work hard to ensure that adversity doesn't create dysfunction within our teams and
across the organization. We have to respectfully but openly hold each other
accountable while prioritizing time to celebrate the wins and progress to keep each
other motivated. Lean in to the relationships with your coworkers when times get
tough. Don’t just rely on Slack and email but talk to each other face to face as much
as possible and check in on each other's lives, not just work. Our relationships are the
most important foundation for success in 2025!

Managing Stress During the Holidays
While the end-of-year holidays are cause for celebration, they can also cause stress
during this very busy time of year. We hope that all Accusoft Employees have an
enjoyable and stress-free holiday season, but in case you are experiencing stress and
overwhelm, here are some tips on how to effectively manage holiday stress:
10 Tips for reducing stress and taking
care of yourself during the holidays:
Rethink Your Resolutions
As we approach 2025, some of us
may be gearing up to create our
New Year’s resolutions.
Here are a few great ways to
“Rethink Your Resolutions”
Here are 5 Tips on how to make
your New Year’s resolutions stick
Start with small goals
1.
Make it measurable
2.
Be realistic
3.
Make a plan
4.
Stay positive
5.

Start Small: break your overall goal
into smaller steps throughout the year
Be kind to yourself: Let go of any
negativity, guilt, or shame if you did
not achieve last year’s resolution or
stumble along the way this year.
Make the most of your
holiday season
The holidays can often feel like a rush of
gatherings, gift-giving, and large to-do lists,
but there are ways that you can set yourself up
to make the most of this holiday season while
also maintaining your peace and joy
throughout.
Be intentional this season. Take some time to
decide what traditions are most important to
you, who you want to spend meaningful time
with, how you want to feel during this season,
and what expectations you want to let go of
this year. Taking these steps will help you to
decide where you spend your time and energy.
Quiet your calendar. While this time of year seems to be packed with calendar-filling commitments,
take some time to reflect on which events matter the most to you. Say “yes” to the events that you
are most excited about. Allow yourself space to recharge, decompress, and tend to your needs.

LAS POSADAS
A 9-night Mexican celebration
reenacting Mary and Joseph's search
for shelter. It includes traditional songs,
piñatas, and delicious foods like
tamales and ponche navideño. It has
evolved with modern adaptations while
preserving its core elements.
The star-shaped piñata children
break apart has seven points that are
meant to symbolize the seven
deadly sins.
The treats released from inside the
piñata symbolize rewards from
heaven.
To stay warm, guests are served
‘ponche’, an aromatic fruit punch.
The ‘Novena’ — the nine days of Las
Posadas — signifies the nine months
Mary carried Jesus in her womb.
The songs that are sung at each
home form a dialogue between the
‘Fuera,’ sung by the pilgrims, and
‘Dentro,’ sung by those playing the
innkeepers.

YULE SOLSTICE
The winter solstice is the shortest day and
longest night of the year. This year this takes
place on Dec. 21st.The midwinter feast usually
lasted 12 days.
The Yule log was a whole tree meant to be
burned for 12 days in the hearth. The Celts
believed the sun stood still during the winter
solstice. They thought by keeping the Yule log
burning for these 12 days encouraged the sun to
move, making the days longer. The largest end
would be fed into the hearth, wine poured over
it. They lit it with the remains of the previous
year's Yule log. Everyone took turns feeding the
length of timber into the fire as it burned. Letting
it burn out would bring bad luck.

CHRISTMAS
Did you know?
Rudolph was almost named Rollo or Reginald.
“Jingle Bells” was originally a Thanksgiving song.
Celebrating Christmas from 1659 to 1681 was
illegal.
Christmas decorating sends nearly 15,000 people
to the ER each year.
The term Xmas dates back to the 1500s. X, or
Chi, is the Greek first letter of “Christ”
Mistletoe isn’t as sweet as it sounds, meaning
“dung on a twig.”
The average Christmas tree takes up to 15 years
to grow to its full form.

Our IMPACT
(Response from Ms. Laura, FOJH Enrichment Manager, when we shared we are continuing our
charitable partnership)
I honestly think that you guys are one of the BEST group of volunteers to walk through our doors! You are
such a dynamic and generous and youth-focused team.
In the past year, you have given our kiddos MORE love that they have ever been shown; your contributions
are extremely impactful and inclusive. Your team has poured so much love over our kiddos, in addition to all
of the other wonderful activities you have presented to them. When your group shows up, I instantly feel
warm fuzzies and know without a doubt, that the day is going to be GREAT simply because you are involved
and engaging with our kiddos. We can assuredly recognize that when you guys are involved, the rays of light
from our kiddos’ hearts shine a little bit brighter every time you come to our campus. We wholeheartedly
KNOW that whatever experience you choose to give to them will create core memories that are POSITIVE &
CONFIDENCE building. For all that you have done for our organization and our kiddos is astounding.

Managing Stress During the Holidays
While the end-of-year holidays are cause for celebration, they can also cause stress
during this very busy time of year. We hope that all Accusoft Employees have an
enjoyable and stress-free holiday season, but in case you are experiencing stress and
overwhelm, here are some tips on how to effectively manage holiday stress:
10 Tips for reducing stress and taking
care of yourself during the holidays:
Rethink Your Resolutions
As we approach 2025, some of us
may be gearing up to create our
New Year’s resolutions.
Here are a few great ways to
“Rethink Your Resolutions”
Here are 5 Tips on how to make
your New Year’s resolutions stick
Start with small goals
1.
Make it measurable
2.
Be realistic
3.
Make a plan
4.
Stay positive
5.
Read more from Cigna here.
Start Small: break your overall goal
into smaller steps throughout the year
Be kind to yourself: Let go of any
negativity, guilt, or shame if you did
not achieve last year’s resolution or
stumble along the way this year.
Make the most of your
holiday season
The holidays can often feel like a rush of
gatherings, gift-giving, and large to-do lists,
but there are ways that you can set yourself up
to make the most of this holiday season while
also maintaining your peace and joy
throughout.
Be intentional this season. Take some time to
decide what traditions are most important to
you, who you want to spend meaningful time
with, how you want to feel during this season,
and what expectations you want to let go of
this year. Taking these steps will help you to
decide where you spend your time and energy.
Quiet your calendar. While this time of year seems to be packed with calendar-filling commitments,
take some time to reflect on which events matter the most to you. Say “yes” to the events that you
are most excited about. Allow yourself space to recharge, decompress, and tend to your needs.

LAS POSADAS
A 9-night Mexican celebration
reenacting Mary and Joseph's search
for shelter. It includes traditional songs,
piñatas, and delicious foods like
tamales and ponche navideño. It has
evolved with modern adaptations while
preserving its core elements.
The star-shaped piñata children
break apart has seven points that are
meant to symbolize the seven
deadly sins.
The treats released from inside the
piñata symbolize rewards from
heaven.
To stay warm, guests are served
‘ponche’, an aromatic fruit punch.
The ‘Novena’ — the nine days of Las
Posadas — signifies the nine months
Mary carried Jesus in her womb.
The songs that are sung at each
home form a dialogue between the
‘Fuera,’ sung by the pilgrims, and
‘Dentro,’ sung by those playing the
innkeepers.

YULE SOLSTICE
The winter solstice is the shortest day and
longest night of the year. This year this takes
place on Dec. 21st.The midwinter feast usually
lasted 12 days.
The Yule log was a whole tree meant to be
burned for 12 days in the hearth. The Celts
believed the sun stood still during the winter
solstice. They thought by keeping the Yule log
burning for these 12 days encouraged the sun to
move, making the days longer. The largest end
would be fed into the hearth, wine poured over
it. They lit it with the remains of the previous
year's Yule log. Everyone took turns feeding the
length of timber into the fire as it burned. Letting
it burn out would bring bad luck.

CHRISTMAS
Did you know?
Rudolph was almost named Rollo or Reginald.
“Jingle Bells” was originally a Thanksgiving song.
Celebrating Christmas from 1659 to 1681 was
illegal.

to the ER each year.

Thank you to everyone who donated gifts in support of the children at the Joshua House and other foster
children in our community. The gift drive was a huge success!
On December 12th, 8 team members and some
significant others brought holiday cheer to the kiddos
at the Joshua House with craft stations, cookie
decorating, and hot chocolate!
