recently installed an epoxy floor at Redbank, NJ health food
restaurant Playa Bowls.
Being a popular health food
restaurant with lots of staff and
customers, Playa Bowls was
looking for a safe and durable
concrete floor that would support
their business needs.
The floor had to be able to
withstand the constant foot
traffic and everyday spills,
while also aligning with Playa
Bowls’ esthetic and
sustainability practices.
The Grip Tech technicians
installed an epoxy flake floor
with a polyaspartic topcoat.
Epoxy flake floors feature
decorative flakes broadcast in
the base coat while it’s still
wet.
The flakes are resistant
to oils, chemicals, and
wear and tear, and come
in a variety of colors so
you can create a design
that suits your space.
For the topcoat, the technicians applied a polyaspartic coating,
which is a mix of hardliner and resin that gives a metallic,
marbleized finish.
Polyaspartic coating has a fast dry time, which, due to the size of Playa Bowls,
allowed the project to be completed in one day and used as normal by the
following day.
