Detroit Assault Prevention Expert
Starts Situational Awareness
Security Tour Summer '24
Safe Sense joins the National Safety Council to
advocate situational awareness as a defense tactic
against victimization from gun violence and other
assaults.
As part of the safety initiative, the
team will share important
situational awareness
techniques to reduce gun
violence victims in the United
States.
Sharlene Burris, CEO of Safe Sense, says that the company will be visiting Detroit/Wayne,
Oakland, and Macomb counties throughout the Summer of 2024.
She will introduce the concept of “personal safety
situational awareness” and offer clever and
practical tips for developing a “safe sense” to avoid
becoming an assault victim.
It's worth noting that Safe Sense is not a self-defense
company, nor does it teach people how to proactively
disengage with a criminal.
Rather, it promotes better awareness of your surroundings so you know exactly what to do to protect
yourself if you notice abnormal and threatening behavior.
