What Fills Your Bucket?
This month, we asked our employees: “What Fills Your Bucket?”
In office time with the whole
team. I love it!
-Mallary Whitten
Exercising, a good night of sleep,
spending quality time with
friends/family, therapy, dancing,
traveling, a warm cup of coffee
-Gabby Masiero
My bucket is full of gratitude and
determination. Those two drive me
to view every day with a fresh
perspective and positive outlook.
-Rayda Anthony
Giving back, being on the water,
immersing myself in new cultures,
my kids (most of the time)
-Ryan Calvin
Time spent with loved ones and
pets, taking time to draw, spending
time outside
-Amanda Lanier
A good night’s sleep
-Nicholas Hall
Being part of a team solving
difficult problems.
-John Armenia
Losing myself in a good playlist,
feeling the sand beneath my feet,
enjoying time with family, and
discovering new corners of the
world.
-Jason Lee
Travelling and exploring new
places with my husband
-Michele Branin
Photography, my dogs, trying new
coffee shops with my husband,
and antiquing!
-Molly Garretto
My faith in Jesus, my family
and being a mom, spending
time in nature.
-Lisa Joiner-Cummins
Going on adventures with my
family!
-Crystal Hoecker
Music and Concerts
-Raven Lanelle
A day out with my kids, exercise, a
good book, my book club, travel, a

time to learn something new and
educating myself through experience
and theory helps fill my emotional
bucket and make me feel I can seize
more opportunities.
-Levi Pollack
Challenging myself in
stepping out of my
comfort zone and
Setting a goal and
accomplishing that goal.
-Michelle Tsoukalas
I honestly think I am kind and patient with everyone
whether it's a colleague, customer or family member.
I've contributed to the Joshua Tree House with
donations as I am far away but that is a very good
feeling. I am always ready to assist without being
asked.

Steve started with Accusoft in 2007 by helping to open
the Atlanta office with two other employees, sharing that
they worked out of each others’ homes until the office
opened in Alpharetta. He became a remote employee
about a year later when he moved to Austin, Texas.
During his time here, he has worked on most of the
product lines and internal systems but has worked mainly
on various PrizmDoc products and licensing in the last
several years. Some of his favorite memories are of the
impromptu parties after the annual Christmas party (and
the subsequent early morning visits to Waffle House with
everyone afterward). Those were the times he was finally
able to see everyone face to face and make a lot of great
memories!
Congratulations on 17 Years with Accusoft,
Steve Brooks!

National Civility Month
National Civility Month, observed annually, encourages individuals and communities to prioritize respectful and
courteous interactions, fostering a more harmonious society.
As a company, we believe in promoting a positive workplace culture where employees feel respected and
valued. In honor of National Civility Month, we are offering various initiatives to promote civility and respect in
the workplace and broader community.
Recognize Your Co-Workers for Demonstrating Kindness:
Accuclap has a new recognition selection, kindness. Use this selection to recognize your co-workers for
demonstrating generosity, being considerate, providing assistance, or showing concern for others.
Why National Civility Month Matters
Communication is the bedrock of healthy relationships, both personally and professionally. In the workplace, civility
cultivates trust and respect, leading to increased employee engagement, reduced conflict, and improved overall
performance. It encourages individuals to listen actively, embrace diverse perspectives, and find common ground,
fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity. Learn more about the History of National Civility Month here.
4 ways to be KIND
Give others the
benefit of the
doubt. It’s easy to
judge people and
situations
prematurely without
having all the facts.
Remember that
other people can go
through difficult
times just like you.
Identify your biases.
Sometimes, you may have
unconscious obstacles to
your empathy that prevent
you from practicing
unbiased, true kindness.
Think about the small
decisions you make in your
life and whether you may
have prejudices.
Start with self-compassion.
Being kind to everyone in
your life includes being kind
to yourself. Remember to
prioritize your own physical
and emotional well-being,
and employ the same
kindness techniques on
yourself that you would for
friends, family members,
loved ones, and others.
Think about how others want to
feel.
The “golden rule”—you should
treat others the way you want
others to treat you—is a great
place to start when performing
kind acts. However, a valuable
variation can help increase the
effectiveness: think about what
others ask for and treat them the
way they want.

You recently volunteered to participate in the Reading
Buddies program at the Joshua House, can you share with
your co-workers what that experience was like?
After the reading session, each kid said something that they
learned, and they were all happy to express that. Or maybe
happy to get the little toys that were handed out for achieving
that goal? Either way, every kid did a great job, and it was
nice to see their enthusiasm and engagement in something
that will benefit them.
What has volunteering at the Joshua House meant
to you?
Places like Joshua House are wonderful for helping
kids to get the positive influence they need to
have a good life. I 'm glad I could have a small
part in helping them with that.
