Hex Cap Screws: Small & Large Sizes
Available
Newport Fasteners' grade 5 hex cap screws are
designed for durability across a wide range of
industries and are available in numerous sizes.
Hex cap screws offer greater
torque than circular-head

situations that require high
strength and secure fastening.
The grade 5 hex cap screws from Newport Fasteners are made from medium carbon steel
and are available in numerous sizes from 5/16"-18 x 3/8" to 1 1/2"-6 x 14".
For enhanced durability, the screws feature a
minimum tensile strength of either 105,000 psi or
120,000 psi, depending on the size.
The screws are also heat treated and tempered at a
minimum temperature of 800° F, increasing their
resistance to wear and deformation.
The larger screws feature a core hardness of Rockwell C25-34, while the smaller screws have a range of
C19-30, helping them to maintain their structural integrity.
