Stay At This New York Hotel With Eclectic Art
History Décor & Tenement Furnishings
As you cross the entrance, leaving
New York’s sprawling streets and
shiny skyscrapers behind, you’re
transported back in time into an
eclectic haven from another era
altogether!
At the award-winning Blue Moon Hotel, you’ll find tenement fixtures that
have been recovered and reintegrated into a new design by artist and
developer Randy Settenbrino.
The hotel's repurposed
features include wrought
iron window balconies
made from the original fire
escape and picture frames
constructed from wood
moldings.
There is elevator wall
décor composed of
ornate tin staircase
materials and salvaged
mosaics decorating the
communal areas.
Inside the Blue Moon Hotel,
you can find themed collages
decorating the walls with
designs underlaid with
Depression-era green stamps
found in the hotel’s flooring.
Salvaged items such as
pawn shop tickets,
newspaper clippings,
sports memorabilia, and
yearbook pages overlay
the collages'
backgrounds
The hotel has 22 rooms and
suites with modern amenities,
each dedicated to a Jazz-era
celebrity. There's a restaurant
onsite and cafe serving
authentic Italian cuisine.
