The non-profit organization
based in Port Clinton, Ohio,
continues the restoration of a
1929 Ford Tri-Motor
Airplane.
The company is dedicated to
raising capital to restore, fly,
and maintain the aircraft and
showcase it to the public.
The non-profit restoration
project’s ultimate goal is to use
the airplane for educational
and historical flight
experiences.
The project is funded
exclusively through private
donations, special events,
and merchandise sales.
Tri-Motor Heritage Foundation
makes it simple to support the
restoration project by allowing
you to make a monetary
donation via PayPal.
You can also sponsor a seat within the
passenger compartment of the aircraft. A
brass placard will be affixed to the seat
permanently. If you choose to contribute this
way, you will receive 10 tickets each year for
rides in the completed aircraft and will be
given a key to the main cabin.
Another way you can support the
restoration is by buying a brick that
will become part of the Island Airlines
Historic Walkway. The brick will be
customized and installed in the
outdoor walkway at the Liberty
Aviation Museum.
The company also has a wish list of
items that are needed for the
aircraft’s completion that you can
donate. You can also help by
volunteering, contributing items
related to the aircraft, and purchasing
at the museum store.
