New Report Showcases How 5 Cute Dogs with
Disabilities Overcame their Challenges
Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that
one dog, the world will be forever changed.
Online resource, My Best Bark, recently released a
new report on the benefits, challenges, and rewards of
owning a dog with disabilities.
The report highlights five adorable dogs who were able to
overcome their physical disabilities with a little tender
loving care from some kind-hearted people.
One of the dogs featured in the report,
Stevie, a blind border collie, went on to win
the Rescue Dog of the Year award for his
significant contribution and enduring spirit
after living a life of neglect.
Daffodil, a dog who lost her front
legs, was fitted with a custom
wheelchair with the help of the San
Francisco SPCA.
My Best Bark is dedicated to providing helpful information and resources
to help pet owners just like you provide the best possible care to the
animals in their lives.
The report states that when given the
same love and care as a "Normal" pet,
dogs with disabilities can live long,
happy, fulfilling lives.
The dogs featured in the report were able to
maintain a happy, healthy, quality of life
because of the help from some humans who
saw their true potential
Caring for a dog with a disability comes with a lot of responsibly....even
more so than caring for a pup without physical limitations...But the
rewards far outweigh the challenges!
A spokesperson for My Best Bark said, “Dogs with
disabilities can still live their life to the fullest when
given proper care. They can become assets
instead of liabilities if they get the same love,
attention, and care that normal dogs usually
receive.”
As the saying goes, don't judge
a book by its cover!
