To shi with a derailleur
A derailleur moves your chain from one
gear to another. You shi gears by chang-
ing the posion of a shi lever (also called
a shier), which controls the derailleur. On
most bicycles the le shier controls the
front derailleur and the right shier
controls the rear derailleur.
Shi gears only when the pedals and chain
are moving forward.
Decrease the force on the pedals as you shi
gears. Reduced chain tension helps the chain
shi gears quickly and smoothly, which
decreases chain, derailleur, and gear wear.
Use only one shier at a me.
Do not shi gears when you ride over bumps
to prevent dropping or jamming the chain or
missing a gear.
Do not ride with the chain in the cross-over"
posion. Cross-over is when you shi the
derailleur so the chain crosses from the
biggest front sprocket to the biggest rear
sprocket. (also the smallest sprocket to the
smallest sprocket).
In this posion, the chain is placed at an
extreme angle causing the chain and gears to
run roughly, and the parts to wear at a faster
rate(Figure 1.13).
Check the brake pads for wear.
Disc brakes: Replace brake pads that are
thinner than 1mm.
Disc brake rotors: Check the thickness/wear
of the rotor. The minimum thickness is oen
printed on the disc.
Check brake pads every 4 month or replace
once the brake force is significantly reduced.
Important! Different types of disc brakes
may require specific adjustments not
covered in this secon. If you are unsure of
what needs to be done see a qualified
bicycle mechanic.
Misalignment of the disc brake may be due
to the following:
·The wheel is not centered.
·The caliper body is misaligned.
·The brake pads are not centered.
Rotate the wheel and look at the gap
between the rim andfork. lf the gap is
uneven, loosen the axle nuts and adjustun-
l the wheel and disc rotor are centered.
Brakes
Adjusng the Disc Brake
Center the wheel
Improper derailleur shiing technique could cause
your chain to jam or come off, causing you to lose
control and fall.
SPECIAL NOTES FOR E-BIKE
WARNING!
Disc brakes are sharp, keep fingers away from the
brakecaliper and rotor. If fingers contact the disc
brake while thewheel is turning serious injury may
occur.
WARNING!
Since some e-bikes have throle mode, users may
shi gears when sliding which is wrong.
WARNING!
Center the Brake Pads
lnsert a 1/32" spacer gage between the
disc rotor andbrake pad.
lnsert a 1/32" spacer gage between the
disc rotor andbrake pad.
Using a 5 mm Allen wrench, turn the brake
pad adjustment screw to move the brake
pad.Turning the pad clockwise moves it
towards the disc rotor, counterclockwise
moves the pad away from the disc rotor.
Adjust the pad unl the gap between the
disc rotor and the brake pads are even
(1/32" per side).
Re-ghten the set screw.
Realign the Caliper Body
Using a 5 mm Allen wrench, loosen the two
centering adjustment screws. Adjust the
caliper body unl the gap between the disc
rotor and the brake pads in the caliper
bodyis even (1/32" per side).
Tighten the centering adjustment screws.
lf the brake cable wire is not aached to
the brake arm then loosen the cable anchor
bolt unl you can see a gap large enough
for the brake cable wire.
Pull on the brake cable wire and place it
under the cable anchor bolt.
Tighten the cable anchor bolt. Note: The
brake cable should not be "pulling" on the
brake arm.

Note
Do not tamper or aempt
to modify the bike's motor or
integrated computer systems.
Modifying them in anyway will
void your warranty and may
lead to accidents resulng in
injury or even death.
Always make sure the
lights and reflectors are work-
ing properly and not obscured
in any way especially in dark
condions.
Always check if the brakes
are funconing property before
riding.
Do not soak the bike in water.
Do not use high pressure water
nozzle to spray your bike. These
acons can damage the bike. If you
wish to clean your bike, please use
a dry /wet cloth to do so.
Regular inspecon and main-
tenance of the bike is important.
Rounely check the brakes, res,
baery, wheel rims, handlebar and
seat post. Poor maintenance of the
bike can cause parts to break, fall
or malfuncon, leading to serious
injuries or even death.
BICYCLE MAINTAIN
The Baery is heavy.Han-
dle it with care.Do not drop it to
prevent injuries to yourself or
damage the baery.
Remove the baery from
the bike if you do not intend to
use it for a long me.
Recharge bimonthly and
avoid leaving the baery
discharged for prolonged peri-
ods.
Charge the baery indoors
only and ensure the baery and
charger are placed on a
non-flammable surface when
charging.
Keep the baery and
charger away from moisture and
water during charging.
Only use original baery
charger to charge the baery.
Do not expose the baery
and charger to blazing sunlight
during charging.
Always charge the baery in
ambient temperatures.
Keep the baery lid of the
bicycle closed when riding in the
rain.
Always lock the baery to
prevent it from moving during
travel and prevent potenal securi-
ty breaches.

only to the initlal purchaser. No warranty registraon is required. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you
may have other rights which vary from province to province.
FRAME
Steel frames are guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship for as long as the inial purchaser has the
bicycle, subject to the condion of he warranty listed below.Aluminum and dual suspension frames are guaranteed
against manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years.lf frame failure should occur due to faulty materials of
workmanship during the guarantee period, the frame will be replaced. For frame replacement under this Limited
Warranty, contact us, stang the nature of the failure, model umber, date purchased and the name of the store
from which the bike was purchased, at he address given on page.Frame must be retuned for inspecon at custom-

that the product will last forever. The length of the useful life cycle will vary depending on the type of bike, riding
condions and care the bicycle receives.Compeon, jumping, downhill racing trick riding, trial riding, riding in
severe condions or climates, riding with heavy loads or any other non-standard use can substanally shorten the
useful produt life cycle. Any one or a combinaon of these condions may result in an unpredictable failure that is
not covered by this warranty. All bicycles and frame sets should be periodically checked by an authorized dealer for
indicaons of potenal problems, inappropriate use or abuse. These are important safely checks and are very
important to help prevent accidents, bodily injury to the rider and shortened useful product life cycle.

brake shoes and saddle covering. These parts are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship as
delivered with the poduct. Any claim for repair or replacement of Normal Wear Parts (grips, tubes tries, cables,
brake shoes and saddle covering) and missing parts must be made within thirty (30)days ohe date of purchase. The
warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper assembly or maintenace, or installaon of parts or
accessories not originally intended or compable with the bicycle as sold. The warranty does not apply to damage or
failure due to accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, or the. Claims involving these issues will not be honored.
