Getting your home ready for Autumn & Winter
As the days get shorter and colder it’s a good time to
get some cleaning chores off your list so that you can
enjoy cosy evenings in comfort.
Our regular weekly cleans are often not as thorough
as we would like, due to time limitations or other
limitations. The beginning of Autumn is an ideal time
to tackle some of the jobs we might have been
putting off. Some of the jobs such as decluttering the
kitchen and defrosting the freezer may even help us
save some money.
1)
Put away your summer clothes and reorganise and declutter your wardrobe
2) Given carpets, rugs, curtains and mattresses a through deep clean
3)
Ensure your windows are sparking clean to let more light in
4)
Check the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
5) Defrost and clean the freezer—this will help it run more efficiently
6)
Clean the kitchen cupboards and use any surprise finds!
7)
Clean a room at a time moving larger furniture to clean underneath and behind
8)
