Jimmy Nanda, the chairman of the board of regents at
Life Chiropractic College West, is proud to announce
that he has created a new Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion committee.
The role of Life West’s new strategic initiative is
to make the college’s campus culture more
inclusive, to develop a culture of service, and to
train staff in diversity practices.
Jimmy Nanda is the first person of
South Asian descent to chair a
chiropractic board at such a high
level in the US.
With the establishment of his new Diversity,
Equity and Inclusion committee, he hopes to
make chiropractic medicine and education a
more accessible field for all Americans.
As a recent exposé by Medium described, the
profession is “glaringly white”, with 97% of
chiropractic patients being white, and 85% of
chiropractic practitioners being white.
