Public To Vie For Free Shopping Spree at
New Freshly's Grocery on Feb 11
On Saturday, February 11 at 11:30
am one lucky person attending the
grand opening of Freshly's, a new
concept in grocery shopping, will find
out as he/she has 2 minutes to fill their
cart with whatever goods they desire.
The new 20,000-square-foot
Freshly's is located at 100 Highway
8 West, in Aberdeen, MS, and, in
addition to groceries, the store
boasts a hot deli, bakery and floral
shop all under one roof.
The doors will officially open
to shoppers, announced
owner Katina Holliday, a
former resident of Aberdeen.
Miss Holliday announced that
Freshly's will offer its own home
delivery service on orders of
$25 or more and has contracted
with InstaCart for added
convenience.
Each Tuesday, all military,
uniformed police and fire
officials as well as senior
citizens will receive a 5%
discount on their purchases.
Since moving away from her hometown, Miss
Holliday has become a successful Los
Angeles-based entrepreneur who is best
known as the founder and CEO of Holliday's
Helping Hands, a nonprofit that assists both
homeless persons and young mothers
recently released from penal institutions.
Since achieving her enormous success on the
West Coast, Miss Holliday has given back to
her hometown countless times, most recently
by launching The Pointe, a 30,000-square-
foot complex located at 100 Highway 8 that
houses the new Freshly's as well as the newly
opened Urgent & Primary Care.
Eventually, it will play
home to a restaurant and
retail store.
Holliday's Helping Hands is
recognized for its award-
winning approach to serving it
underprivileged clients and has
become a beacon for other
such programs.
Part of her strategy is helping them
develop "Roadmaps" for their futures -
detailed, comprehensive plans that help
them hone their lifestyle skills, plan
monthly budgets, job train, prepare for
job interviews and become good
neighbors and citizens.
