Annotation and Mark-up
With the Accusoft PrizmDoc annotation and mark-up tool integrated as a
standard feature, edocr allows users to make additional edits to uploaded
documents.
In order for annotations to work, the owner of the document must have a
Premium account and must also allow it in the document upload settings.
You can find the Annotation feature located in the bar above the document
viewer next to the view and search tools.
Annotations are also available via the edocr API.
When the Annotate tool is active you will see the Annotate tool selection bar
on the toolbar ribbon at the top of the document view. The tools allow the
document to be edited in several different ways, including adding various
shapes, freehand drawing, typing and highlighting, stamping, and inserting
images or hyperlinks. You can also edit settings such as color, thickness, and
opacity for many of these features as well. You can see how some of these
tools can be used in the image below:
After making annotations to a document, edocr also offers users ways to save
documents with the new changes they make. If you own the document being
annotated and are an edocr Premium customer, the 'Save Annotations' tool
located at the top of the tool bar gives you the ability to either save your
annotated document as a new document replacing the original document
with the edited version. To save a copy without replacing the original version,
download as a PDF and the annotations will be 'burned in'. As a
non-premium user you are still able to either print or download annotated
documents.
These features make it easier for users to make quick updates and edits to
any announcements or documents embedded on their website, as well as
offers a way for other users to make comments, highlights or redactions on
uploads and repurpose them for their own use.
We always want to hear feedback from our users. If you have any suggestions
as to how we could improve, please send your suggestions to the edocr help
desk.
We thank you for your continued use of edocr.
