SAVE THE DATE
ROY WILCOX AND FRIENDS GOLF TOURNAMENT
Save the Date all you golf players. The 2nd Annual Roy
Wilcox and Friends Golf Tournament will be held on
Saturday, October 28th at Summerfield Crossing Golf
Course. 1 pm start and is only $75 per person. We are
looking for sponsors as well for the tournament. All
proceeds benefit the Paralympic Sport Tampa Bay Club and
Friends of the County Parks. Paralympic Sport Tampa Bay
(PSTB) is a program run by Hillsborough County Parks and
Recreation for disabled athletes from youth to young adult.
These athletes attend training seminars and compete in
local and national competitions. The registration form will
be on the website soon. For more information contact any
of the numbers listed on the “Save the Date Card” above.


AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
REGISTRATION NOW GOING ON

School is starting on August 10th. Do you
have a place for your child to attend in a
safe and fun filled environment?
Registration is now taking place for our
very popular after-school program located
at our recreation centers throughout
Hillsborough County. We have traditional
programs as well as adaptive recreation
programs.
Fees Schedule:
 $76 every two weeks
 $60 every two weeks with a
current REDUCED school lunch
letter
 $40 every two weeks with a
current FREE school lunch letter
 $40 every two weeks for Middle
School Students.

VOLUNTEER PARK RANGER

Ever thought about becoming a volunteer
park ranger. Volunteer rangers assist with
answering visitor questions, answering
phone calls, beautifying park grounds and

2017 TAMPA BAY SENIOR GAMES REGISTRATION IS
OPEN UNTIL SEPTEMBER 13TH

The Tampa Bay Senior Games will be held from September
26th/28th (Softball Team Competition) and October 2nd thru
October 20th. Opening Day will be held at Barksdale Senior
Center on Monday, October 20th at 10 am. Registration fee
is $30 per person (except for golf) and each person will also
receive in addition to the t-shirt extra tickets to the closing
ceremony.

FRIENDS SPONSORED SUMMER PROGRAM
ACTIVITIES

Friends of the County Parks & Recreation Department
sponsored several programs at summer camps throughout
Hillsborough County. Programs at Ruskin, Thonotosassa,
Gardenville, and Fishing Camp @ EG Simmons were treated
to a variety of snacks at weekly parties and end of the
summer camp cookout. All kids had a great time and
special thanks to all the staff making their summer-time
fun!
PARALYMPIC SPORT TAMPA BAY
PARTICIPATES @ JR NATIONALS

Paralympic Sports Tampa Bay Athletes
participated at Jr Nationals which was
held in Wisconsin this year. The athletes
had a great time and represented
Hillsborough County very well. Check out

Conservation Park (8pm to 10pm) $7 per
person and must be 8 years and up.
