Where to Begin

• Start from your Personal Dashboard.
• Click the “PD Specialist Application” button on the left side of your page.

• Click the “Create New Application” button.

• Read the instructions and when ready, click “Profile” on the menu or click on the “Save and Continue” button.

Profile
• On the “Profile” page you
may update your address,
email address and phone
number by clicking on the
corresponding link. (The
other three links on the page
— Employment,
Relationships and Additional
Information — are not
necessary for you to
complete at this stage of the
process.)

If you wish to make changes,
click on the link for that
category. Within each field
that comes up, click “edit” to
update your information or
“add new” to create an
additional entry.

If you wish to delete the
previous entry, click “delete”
instead.
• Click “Save and Continue”
when finished and ready to
move on.

Eligibility Statement
• Select the basic eligibility requirement description that you meet. You may only select one.
• Next, enter the degree name and major.

If you forget to enter the degree name and major, a red message box will remind you that completing this field is required.
• When finished, click “Save and Continue.”

General PDS Application Information
• Use the drop-down
arrows to select your
endorsement setting,
highest level of
education, language
specialization and
specialist payment
designation.
• Under Language
Specialization, if you
only speak English,
select “No.” If you
can read, speak and
write in a language
other than English
and wish to use this
in your work as a PD
Specialist, select
“Yes.”
• Click “Save and
Continue.”

Language Specialization
• The next section is “Language Specialization.” Please note that even if your only language is English, you must create an entry here.
• Click “Add” to create a Language Specialization entry.

• Use the drop-down arrow to select your language. (Remember, even if your only language is English, you must select it.)
• After selecting your language click “Save.”

• Your Language Specialization entry is now displayed and can be edited or deleted using the buttons shown below.

If you have another language to enter, click “Add” to do so.
• When you are ready to move on, click “Save and Continue.”

• Your PDS Applicant profile information at the top also displays the language specialization entry that you’ve added.
