Two shocking murders—one of a nurse, the other of a doctor—unveil whispers of a deeper, more sinister conspiracy within Norway's healthcare system.
About Impenitent
When a nurse and a doctor from Bergen General Hospital are discovered murdered under mysterious circumstances, an explosive investigation exposes deep connections to a clandestine faction within the hospital’s dialysis unit. Military Police Profiler Mikael Evensen and District Chief of Police Kunaq Bakken initiate parallel inquiries, generating tension within the police force and uncovering vital clues that indicate a conspiracy with national ramifications. In the midst of this, Belarus makes a striking accusation: could these deaths be part of a calculated democide? (Impenitent is a work by scriptwriter Stéfano Castellanos)

Impenitent
Pitch for
In , I bring a hidden reality to the forefront, one
Impenitent
that society often overlooks or assumes doesn’t happen in a
place as progressive as Norway. This project is more than
fiction; it’s inspired by my own life experiences and
addresses a harsh truth: abuse and discrimination do exist in
our healthcare systems, and minorities – particularly those
in the LGBTQ+ community – often find themselves at the mercy
of implicit and explicit prejudice. Through this project, I
aim to depict a world that mirrors our own, urging viewers to
reconsider the assumed safety and inclusivity of public
institutions.
*My story, however, is not the focus; I wanted to create a
narrative that could stand alone as powerful fiction while
also reflecting the real, personal trauma many face but are
too often silenced over. dives into a fictional
Impenitent
healthcare setting riddled with systemic bias and explores
the moral complexities and professional dilemmas encountered
by those tasked with caregiving but who may harbor prejudice.
Through this lens, viewers are encouraged to ask:
What if
these issues are closer to home than we think?
The news occasionally brings attention to hate crimes and
discrimination, yet the deeper impacts remain hidden – the
way such actions can psychologically scar individuals and
erode trust in essential systems. is a way to shed
Impenitent
light on these hidden abuses without compromising individual
privacy, allowing audiences to experience and understand the
struggles minorities face within settings that are supposed
to heal, not harm.
In developing , I drew on my own experiences of
Impenitent
exclusion and mistreatment, transforming them into a broader,
universal story that tackles discrimination with unflinching
honesty. This story is vital, now more than ever, as we
strive to create a society that is not just tolerant but
truly inclusive.

1.
Logline:
After the brutal murders of a nurse and a doctor, a hidden
conspiracy within Norway’s healthcare system is revealed.
Military Police Profiler Mikael Sturla Evensen must navigate
complex personal connections, a media scandal, and foreign
accusations to uncover a shocking truth.
2.
Synopsis:
opens with the unsettling murder of healthcare
Impenitent
professionals and dives into the dark underbelly of Norway’s
healthcare and transplant system. The investigation unfolds
with MP Mikael Sturla Evensen at its center, as he uncovers
deeply rooted corruption in transplant allocation, entangled
with foreign political tensions and personal motives. As
Belarus accuses Norway of a cover-up, the plot explores
themes of betrayal, morality, and justice, making it a
profound look into how personal and professional lines blur
under extreme circumstances.
4.
Emphasis on LGBTQ+ Themes:
, an LGBTQ+ character with a transgender background,
Camilo
represents the often overlooked experiences of LGBTQ+
individuals facing systemic bias, especially in healthcare.
His scars—both physical and emotional—tell a story of
survival and resilience, adding a layer of personal depth and
relatability.
5.
Visual and Narrative Style:
The series is grounded in a dark, Nordic noir atmosphere,
with haunting visuals of Norway’s landscapes juxtaposing
natural beauty against the sinister plot unfolding. The
storytelling is meticulous, with an emphasis on dialogue and
character-driven scenes that reveal layers of the mystery
gradually.

Co-Production Potential:
is ideally suited for co-production due to its
Impenitent
Scandinavian setting and international themes. The story’s
cross-border appeal lies in its universal exploration of
corruption, identity, and resilience, making it a promising
candidate for European audiences and beyond. With themes that
resonate globally, this project offers high co-production
potential for partners interested in socially conscious,
LGBTQ+ inclusive narratives.
Dear Producers:
I am excited to present my pilot script for , a
Impenitent
gripping exploration of corruption within Norway’s healthcare
system that intertwines personal and political narratives. At
the heart of this story is Camilo, an LGBTQ+ character with a
transgender background, whose journey sheds light on the
often-overlooked experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals facing
systemic bias in health care. His scars—both physical and
emotional—speak to a narrative of survival and resilience,
enriching the character’s depth and relatability.
subtly addresses LGBTQ+ issues within a broader
Impenitent
narrative, making it accessible to diverse audiences while
speaking strongly to LGBTQ+ viewers. This approach aligns
with contemporary LGBTQ+ media, which frequently challenges
traditional narratives and presents multifaceted, authentic
experiences.
The series is grounded in a dark, Nordic noir atmosphere,
with meticulous storytelling that emphasizes dialogue and
character-driven scenes. This style not only enhances the
mystery but also deepens the viewer's connection to the
characters and their struggles.
I believe has significant co-production potential
Impenitent
due to its Scandinavian setting and universal themes of
corruption, identity, and resilience. The project offers a
compelling opportunity for partners interested in socially
conscious, LGBTQ+ inclusive narratives.
Thank you for considering my script. I look forward to the
possibility of discussing this project further.
Sincerely,
Stefano D. Castellanos M.

IN THE YEARLY FEAST.
EP 1. UNSETTLED (PILOT)
1. CLEANSING 2014 - REMOTE IN THE WOODS
It is pitch-dark. A woman covered in mud and blood moves
through a waterfall. The naked woman emerges clean and intact
and swims to the other side, where a man covers her in a
white robe. There are torches along the way to where a
recently exsanguinated brown bear hangs. The bear's heart is
beneath it on a silver platter. She grabs it and eats the
fresh organ in many large gulps. Another woman approaches.
She wears a green robe.
WOMAN IN SILVER ROBE
Welcome back, empowered by the bear's
strength, you've been restored to your
pure essence. Heil to the masters.
WOMAN IN WHITE ROBE

3. THE CABIN - JEVNAKER
ALARM goes off. Camilo wakes up, he turns it off.
CAMILO
Seriously, when are you getting rid of
that old clock?
Liam makes breakfast.
LIAM
Morning! Meds and water to your left.
CAMILO
ugh, everything hurts.
LIAM
Come eat.
CAMILO
My daily wish.
LIAM
Irish Breakfast?
CAMILO
Yes. (Camilo counts the pills) What's
the extra one for?
LIAM
To help you relax.
CAMILO
I smell real bacon.
LIAM
Plus home-made black pudding. Come on
get that blood flowing and those legs
moving. We got a long day ahead.

athletic, well-built man with good proportions. The sunlight
reveals Camilo's scars: one downward on his chest, another on
his lower abdomen above his vagina. He adjusts his robe and
heads to the table. Liam observes the bruises.
CAMILO
Rice or barley?
LIAM
Plus oatmeal, the true Irish original.
CAMILO
Give it here.
Liam puts a plate in front of him. Camilo grabs some bacon.
CAMILO
What's in the envelope?
LIAM
A note from your dad.
CAMILO
Did you read it?
Camilo grabs it. Reads it out loud.
CAMILO
The money's clean. Yours, Papp's.
Camilo runs to the stove and places the note by the heat of
the stove.
LIAM
Don't burn it.
CAMILO
Hidden messages. A game we played.
Heat reveals the message: "Arthur McCoy 2.6B-511810."
LIAM
Arthur. He arrives in Oslo tomorrow.
Only for a few hours.
Liam pours Camilo some stout. Camilo digs into his plate and
eats a mouthful of rich, savory black pudding.

Camilo inhales and eats his breakfast.
4. DOWNTOWN TRASH. KOPPANG
It is early in the morning. Inside a huge recycling center, a
police officer records the evidence on film. They found an
elderly man wearing nothing but female underwear. Forensics
pull the man from the debris and place him on a flat, clean
surface. Chief Meyers approaches.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF.
Do we know who he is?
A forensic assistant shouts from inside the rubble.
MARIO, FORENSIC ASSISTANT
No wallet!
The Chief of Forensics yells to her people.
VIRNA MATEYS.
Let's bag him!
A black sedan is parked uphill.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
Is he one of ours?
Virna has it on her tablet.
VIRNA MATEYS
It's registered to an MP Evensen.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
MP? As in military police?

MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
OK. Send that to Kunaq. See you at the

VIRNA MATEYS
OK. People! Pack it up!
5. CAR TRIP -LIAM AND CAMILO - BEAUTIFUL NORWAY.
Liam and Camilo drive through a very gorgeous landscape.
CAMILO
All I remember is the last part.
LIAM
That is always a good place to start.
What was it?
CAMILO
It was dusk. He drove a Grand Cherokee
Jeep. A tall man. He said his name was
Jane.
LIAM
Wayne. He'll call eventually.
CAMILO
Where did you find him?
LIAM
Never you mind. What else do you
remember?
CAMILO
He came in with a large bag. I
remember thinking it was comforting to
see him there.
CAMILO'S MEMORIES:
Camilo opens the door. He is composed and clean but his face
is bruised and bloody.
CAMILO
Get in.
9.

Wayne is not shocked to see the bloody scene inside.
WAYNE
Which one went down first?
CAMILO
Does it matter? You need to repair
that banister before the owners
return.
The banister on the second floor is broken. A dead man
directly underneath it.
WAYNE
What's that in his mouth?
CAMILO
His dick.
WAYNE
Are his balls still attached?
CAMILO
If they're not, find them.
WAYNE
What's under those sheets?
Camilo grabs his bag.
CAMILO
My dogs and a garbage bag with my
clothes and towels.
WAYNE
Shoes too?
CAMILO
Shoes are part of clothing.
The man looks into Camilo's eyes. There is a cold and
unclenching way distinctive of a killer. Camilo stands solid
and unshaken. He then notices the second corpse, with a knife
above his stomach.
WAYNE
Same blade?
CAMILO
Yes.

Liam drives. The river view is gorgeous. Liam is in shock.
LIAM
You seemed fine last night. You still
in shock.
CAMILO
Yes and no. After I cut his dick I
think my shock system paralyzed.
Liam's breath hitches, a mixture of feelings evident in the
way he inhales.
LIAM
Let's make a stop.
CAMILO
Agree. Up ahead there. Those rocks.
There is a private little place there.
I want to jump in the cold water.
6. MILITARY POLICE HEADQUARTERS - OSLO - DAY 09:45
Sergeant Broch enters the meeting room, where three high-
ranking officers await. A file is handed to him by an MP
soldier.
PRIVATE
Sir. This just arrived.
Broch takes the file and quickly scans its contents.
E-4 SPECIALIST BROCH
We've identified the buyer. That is
all we need.
SERGENT OLSEN
Who's the buyer?
E-4 SPECIALIST BROCH
Finland.
SERGENT PEDERSEN
Our tactic is straightforward. Finland
needs to get its head out of its ass
and find out where the rifle went.
11.
Created using Celtx
SERGENT HANSEN
Our main concern now is what happened
to that Nurse in Bergen.
E-4 SPECIALIST BROCH
Let's not get ahead.
SERGENT OLSEN
What about Belarus?
SERGENT PEDERSEN
We manufactured the rifle they found.
That is all.
7. LAB EVIDENCE - HAMAR.
Virna informs the others of the preliminary details found in
the autopsy.
VIRNA MATEYS
So far, we've recovered three semen
samples from his hair, face, and
clothing. 12 inside his rectum. None
of which are in the system. The man
also suffered from late-onset MS.
D.P. KUNAQ
He was strangled, was he not?
VIRNA MATEYS
The 98.9% cause of death in these
cases is autoerotic asphyxia. Sadistic
and masochistic interaction makes it
hard to determine the cause of death.
I cannot declare it murder or suicide.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF.
What about the smell?
VIRNA MATEYS
Air-jet fluid. SC-1 plus, ozone (O3),
and water. Perhaps someone tried to
clean him or, the surface where he
died before dumping it. Why did we
rush with this guy?
D.P. KUNAQ
MPs are on their way to claim the
investigation. What about the
scratches on the side of his head?
12.
Created using Celtx
VIRNA MATEYS
Back and side of his head. Postmortem.
Someone dragged him. The pressure
marks on the nipples, testicles, and
neck are premortem. Also his welts.
Eltoft walks in.
OFFICER ELTOFT
Your dead man with the expensive
undies is Doctor Erik Vognild, 68,
head of the Dialysis and Renal
Research section at the Memorial
Bergen Hospital.
VIRNA MATEYS
What was he doing in Koppang?
OFFICER ELTOFT
Well, there was a floater late last
night in the Leirvik area; his name is
Pål Nilsen, 47 and a dialysis nurse at
Memorial Bergen Hospital. These two
are co-workers. An MP is here. No
uniform.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
I bet it is our good looking chap in
the car.
Kunaq takes a few seconds to think over her next reaction.
D.P. KUNAQ
Right. OK. People. Are we looking for
two killers or one? Check finances,
relatives, social media, cell phones,
get creative. Daggy (Eltoft) look for
patients' complaints and search
gay/SMS clubs/events. Whatever your
imagination dictates. Why did we find
him in Koppang?
Eltoft quick response to that.
OFFICER ELTOFT
The red lantern. That is Trondheim. A
night club. That is the last place he
spent his money.
D.P. KUNAQ
Good. Keep digging. Let's hear what
13.

the MP with no uniform has to say. Oh,
and Meyers, look the part when you go
to The Red Lantern.

Eh?

8. BERGEN HOSPITAL DIALYSIS SECTION - CITY OF BERGEN
An old woman sits on her spot and waits for treatment. She
turns on the TV. A nurse comes.
NURSE ELISABETH
Hi. Ellen, are we ready?
ELLEN
We? You're not the one hooked up to
needles for four hours. Shut up and
let me listen.
On the TV above her station, Chief Robert Heitz is on. They
listen to the TV as Ellen is being connected to the dialysis
machine.
ROBERT HEITZ, ASSISTANT CHIEF.
Please respect the victim's privacy
and hand over any graphic information
to the police right away. The
investigating team and our
pathologists thank you.
REPORTER 2 ON TV
When will you release the details
about the murders?
Heitz goes on.
ROBERT HEITZ, ASSISTANT CHIEF.
I hope I made myself clear. Any
information published that may
aggravate the welfare of the families
involved or disrupt our investigation
will be handled accordingly. That is
all for now.
The Chief leaves as reporters throw questions left and right.
Back to Ellen on dialysis.

OFFICER ELTOFT

Eltoft hands her an internal affairs memo with a photo of a
girl.
OFFICER ELTOFT
The chief left this one on my desk.
The nurse's daughter. She is nine.
D.P. KUNAQ
She's a possible witness. How long was
she out there in the woods?
OFFICER ELTOFT
I don't know. But it says something
about repeated patterns. Coordinates.
59° 47' 33'' N5° 31' 13.98'' E. That
is near the Ekso River. Eksinge
Valley. The woman who found her is a
music teacher, and her husband a
mathematician. That's how we got
coordinates.
D.P. KUNAQ
Some sort of autism.
OFFICER ELTOFT
ASD, or autism spectrum disorder. My
mom's half sister.
D.P. KUNAQ
Acute hearing, right?
OFFICER ELTOFT
They call it: Hearing sensitivity.
Also, I stumbled upon a clip article
featuring Rikard Johannesen, a kidney
transplant recipient from Bergen. The
article highlights Johannesen's very
generous donation for kidney research.
It connects Johannesen's to Dr. Erik
Vognild, then head of research.

D.P. KUNAQ
That can mean all sorts of things
besides being illegal.
OFFICER ELTOFT
Yes, but the money came from his
brother-in-law. A resident of
Switzerland.
D.P. KUNAQ
You're strategizing. What else?
OFFICER ELTOFT
Camilo Conti sent complaints against
Nilsen, even twice, to the Bergen
police. The hospital filed a complaint
against Conti. He was then living ins
Sandefjord.
D.P. KUNAQ
Where is he living now?
OFFICER ELTOFT
Hold on to your boots. Koppang. In his
emails, Conti doesn't seem violent or
rude. He's just really set on getting
back on the transplant list and blames
Dr. Amra Hadžić and our kinky doctor
for messing up. He got a kidney in
2021. It's almost 3:30 are gonna ask
him to come back tomorrow?
D.P. KUNAQ
No. If he waited that long he has no
authority. That is all I want to know.
Send him in.
OFFICER ELTOFT
OK.
Outside Kunaq's office. Eltoft to Evensen.
OFFICER ELTOFT
Sir. She will see you now.
Sturla Evensen walks in Kunaq's office. He presents himself.

you might want to listen to my story,
then I can nip out the back way.
Evensen looks over his shoulder.
D.P. KUNAQ
Why is the Military Police involved.
MP STURLA EVENSEN
Nearly two weeks ago, Belarus reported
finding a Norwegian rifle inside a
transport truck that had been
destroyed by explosives.
D.P. KUNAQ
The Doctor wasn't shot.
MP STURLA EVENSEN
Belarus is eager to escalate this
situation. The company truck "Horizon
Haulers" made a stop in Koppang.
That's the reason I'm here. Not the
dead doctor.
D.P. KUNAQ
Why should I believe you?
MP STURLA EVENSEN
I'm still pending a relief for cause.
Plus I have evidence. Maybe your team
can assist.
The soldier hands over a thumb drive. D.P. Kunaq leaves the
thumb drive on her desk.
MP STURLA EVENSEN
I know Virna Mateys is one of the top
forensic investigators in Norway.

from Bergen. He was denied a kidney.
Too bad the prick is dead.

motionless in a hospital bed. The little girl’s pale face is
half-hidden by an oxygen mask.
Behind Andrea, DR. NIKLAS NILSEN and LINE OLDERHEIM stand in
quiet conversation. The doctor, in his crisp white coat, has
a distant, clinical expression as he speaks, while Olderheim,
the social worker, wears a look of gentle concern, her gaze
flickering between the doctor and the worried mother.
The doctor finishes his cat with Olderheim and steps closer
to Andrea, his tone brisk but not unkind.
DR. NIKLAS NILSEN
(softly but firmly)
Mrs. Kristensen, I know this is
difficult, but right now, your
daughter needs you more than ever.
Andrea doesn’t turn around. Her focus remains solely on her
daughter, her hand pressing harder against the glass as if
she could reach through it.
MRS. ANDREA KRISTENSEN
(voice barely above a whisper)
When can I see my husband?
The question hangs in the air, heavy with grief and
desperation. The doctor exchanges a brief, uneasy glance with
Olderheim before responding.

DR. NIKLAS NILSEN
Police forensics will release it and
contact you.
MRS. ANDREA KRISTENSEN
It? My husband is just an "it". He
worked here.
DR. NIKLAS NILSEN
I'm sorry but I have other patients.
Dr. Nilsen's footsteps recede down the corridor, leaving
behind a strained silence. Line Olderheim watches him leave,
concern creasing her brow. She turns back to Mrs. Andrea
Kristensen, who stands by the glass, her face pale and eyes
glistening with unshed tears.
LINE OLDERHEIM
How about I come back with a positive
answer? It might take a few hours. But
I can stay if you'd like.
MRS. ANDREA KRISTENSEN
No. We'll be fine.
LINE OLDERHEIM
Let me get you a cup of coffee before
I go.
MRS. ANDREA KRISTENSEN
Tea. I prefer tea.
LINE OLDERHEIM
Tea it is.
17. INT. POLICE STATION - CHIEF KUNAQ'S OFFICE - DAY
CHIEF KUNAQ sits behind his desk, her eyes fixed on a stack
of photos spread out before her. CHIEF MEYERS stands across
her desk.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
(gesturing to the photos)
We’ve gone over everything again.
Those small wheel marks at the cliff
edge—they don’t directly link to the
shooter. But the coordinates we got
from forensics, they’re closest to
that spot. It’s the best vantage point
for a shot and an escape.

Kunaq picks up one of the photos, studying the image of the
wheel marks at the cliff's edge. Her expression is
thoughtful, but there’s a tightness around her eyes that
betrays her concern.
D.P. KUNAQ
So, you’re thinking the shooter
might’ve used that edge—not just for
the shot, but to launch a glider and
escape?
Meyers nods, his tone measured but laced with frustration.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
It fits. The small wheels could be
from a glider cart. After the shot,
they could’ve taken off and been miles
away before anyone knew what happened.
It’s a theory, but it’s the best one
we have given the circumstances.
Kunaq sets the photo down, considering the implications. Her
fingers tap lightly on the desk as she processes the
information.
D.P. KUNAQ
It’s a solid theory, but it’s just
that—a theory. Without concrete
evidence, we can’t prove that those
marks are connected to the shooter.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
I get it. But the coincidence is too
strong to ignore. That spot gives the
shooter everything—cover, distance, a
quick getaway. We just need something
to link it all together.
Kunaq leans back in her chair, the weight of the case heavy
on her shoulders. Her voice is steady, but there’s an
undercurrent of urgency.
D.P. KUNAQ
Then we need to dig deeper. Get the
wind patterns from the day of the
shooting—see if they match up with a

glider launch. Check for any reports
of unusual activity—glider sightings,
strange noises, anything that stands
out. And talk to the glider clubs in
the area. If someone’s missing
equipment or if anything was out of
the ordinary, we need to know.
Meyers nods, his mind already racing with the tasks ahead.
But the frustration lingers in his voice.
MEYERS, ASSISTANT CHIEF
How about the MP?
D.P. KUNAQ
He got picked up by his own people two
nights ago. He left us something
behind in his hotel room. I need to
retrieve it but the MPs might be
watching.
18. WIDOW IN BLACK
Delia Hagen walks into a tattoo parlor. The man looks at the
elegant woman.
FRONT DESK MAN
How can I help?
She shows the Othala Rune tattoo on her ring finger.
FRONT DESK MAN
So what do you want?
DELIA HAGEN
Some color in it would be fine.
FRONT DESK MAN
Cover it with an Aztec.
DELIA HAGEN
Perfect. Do your best creative work.
FRONT DESK MAN
Come on in.
They walk behind a curtain.
19. CAMILO'S KITCHEN - LATE AFTERNOON.
The kitchen is dimly lit, the soft hum of a refrigerator

filling the space. Camilo moves slowly, methodically putting
dishes into the dishwasher, his mind elsewhere. Wayne,
casually buttoning his shirt, watches him from across the
room.
CAMILO
(without looking up): Whatever plan
you're trying, you've got it all
wrong.
Wayne finishes with his shirt and leans against the counter,
smirking.
WAYNE
My plan is a grilled cheese sandwich
before I go.
Camilo pauses, glancing at Wayne, reading him.
CAMILO
Is that your real name? (shrugs) Never
mind. There’s some lean turkey in the
fridge. Bread’s in the freezer.
WAYNE
(moving to the fridge): Thanks.
As Wayne opens the fridge, he bends down to peel off his
socks, tossing them aside. Camilo notices but says nothing,
though his curiosity is piqued.
CAMILO
Taking your socks off?
WAYNE
(grinning, bare feet on the cool
kitchen floor): I cook better
barefoot. Always have.
Wayne starts gathering the ingredients, his movements easy
and unhurried. He glances over at Camilo, who is now flipping
through his record collection.
WAYNE
You got any good music?
Camilo, now sitting on the floor, rolls up a joint with
practiced ease, trying to ignore the way Wayne is casually
taking over his kitchen.

CAMILO
Add Barbecue sauce to those fries.
Look under the glasses.
WAYNE
(finding the sauce): Got it.
Wayne smiles, revealing dimples that soften his rugged
features. His light brown mustache barely hides a set of
perfectly aligned teeth. Camilo catches a glimpse of Wayne's
boyish charm in the reflection of the stainless steel
appliances but quickly looks away, masking any hint of
interest.
WAYNE
Selver.
CAMILO
(distracted): What?
WAYNE
Selver. My mother was Bosnian. She
named me Selver.
Camilo takes a drag from his joint, exhaling slowly, the
smoke curling up towards the ceiling.
CAMILO
And your father?
Wayne pauses, looking through the fridge, his tone nonchalant
yet distant.
WAYNE
I never knew him. I'll ad mustard to
the sauce. I cook best when I'm
hungry.
Camilo leans back against the wall, eyes half-closed, the
music playing softly in the background. He takes another
drag, letting the words hang in the air.
CAMILO
We all do it better when we mean it.
Less when we want it.
Camilo plays Trátame Suavemente by Soda Estereo.
