New Business
Discussion ensued regarding the Entry Door System with 3 bids to choose from. The Mircom
system proposed by Commercial Fire Protection although a good system does not include 2
locations to access the gate from which is needed in case power goes out at Driftwood. The second
proposal from Accurate Electronics is the same.
The third proposal from Bayfront Central calls for a new phone line to be installed at the
association's expense, so was immediately rejected.
The Board instructed RPM to negotiate with Accurate & Commercial for 2 access locations and
send the new bids to the Board for review.
The proposals from CR Doors for units 209, 309 & 507 were reviewed. Jack motioned to accept
the bids, Jeff seconded. All in favor, motion passed.
The proposals from Paramount Power to replace the ATS system in the generator and Block
Heater were reviewed and discussed at length. Coastal Service had presented pricing much higher
and with regular service at a higher cost. With all the issues Driftwood Sands has had recently
with loss of power due to generator, Marcel moved to accept the proposal from Paramount in the
amount of $7,545.00 for a new ATS system and $1,589.08 for a new Block Heater. Jack seconded,
all in favor, motion passed.
The frequency of Board meetings was discussed, with the conclusion that once every six
weeks was sufficient. Board meeting dates will be published on the Driftwood Sands website when
established.
